Being a man of color I have to work twice as hard to get to the same place of my white counterparts. At work there is such a double standard when it comes to what is expected from the white employee and the black ones. People want you to say it does not exist but I will not tell that lie, it is there. I understand the struggle of my people since I hit the real work world. God knows I am not racist at all I’ve dated almost most everything. LOL But I’ve seen a whole new side in the way white people still treat back people. On the job we have to fight to just keep our place. So I understand what my others before me went through.

I know it's stressful and then you have people who truely do believe racism and discrimination don't exist. This is a prime example of it.
Sorry you gotta stuggle so much on the job.....
being female in the corporate world is just as stressful.
It should not matter whether your skin color, nationality, or gender...
it occurs in every work place across the world.
we are the cause of our own demise. Meaning--we only let things overwhelm us if we let it.
As such, it's not always a racial issue. Most often it's an issue of social class.
The black struggle has become a cliche.
"When people of color can be mediocre as Caucasian people and still keep getting hired -- then that's progress!"
from clay cane's interview of alfre woodard.
lol@Karamale for quoting Clay's interview.
Oh to be mediocre and successful!
I'm the only Black male in my office/suite of about 20 people, so I know what exactly what you're saying.
I like that quote Karamale shared from the Alfre Woodard interview.
Yeah you always have to prove yourself twice as much. I try not to let it phase me, though. I all about the whatever..*LOL*.
